Into the Green North

Nature Academy grows as a forest with endemic trees and mangroves, in the extreme North of Mauritius, at a place called Anse La Raie. This sanctuary of great beauty is being preserved by a group of nature lovers who are eager to share their treasure not only with visitors, but also and fore mostly with the children of Mauritius. Welcomed as privileged guests for a day, we are greeted with a homemade concoction of endemic plants, before visiting a pristine paradise, cradle and breeding grounds of myriad land- and sea creatures. During this special day, you will also learn about the school project, enjoy a visit of the nursery and discover the history of the estate.
The Green Side is for visitors who want to experience Mauritius far beyond the beaten track. By stepping out of your tropical holiday and into the nature environment of the hinterland, you’ll experience a new dimension of holiday making. We take you to see, feel, smell and enjoy the real Mauritius Nature Paradise, the one you always knew existed but did not know how to reach.
